What is the most you've fuelled up?

What does the ding sound like, is it pleasant or irritating? Better than a slap on your face by your partner?
Not to be off topic, I've fuelled up about 44L leaving about 1L theoretically in my tank (colt). I could hear the fuel pump whizz, so I guess that's the low fuel warning indicator in my car (I know I know, it's bad for the pump and sediments at the bottom can cause damage so I don't do this nearly as often as I previously did).

Its not the worst sound but it definately gets your attention.
Do you have a current gen colt? I would've thought they'd be the same, I wouldn't know though.

Thankfully no, mine is the previous gen angular cubist minivan beast that is trubo charged
It does have a low fuel lamp warning light at approx 12L, but no warning sound. Some call it povo pack, I call it "simplicity".

I thought non RA/EVO was a 55 or 57 litre tank....
I had also read that the 1st warning with the constant flashing of the petrol symbol is approx. 8 litres remaining. The 2nd warning with the 'double speed' flashing (and needing to press the button to clear it) is then 5 litres remaining.....
2nd ding I always then calculate on 50-60kms remaining to find a fuel stop.
Most I've filled is about 54 litres

hmm thats weird! ive went through all the warning lights till it had no bars left LOL but when i filled up it took 52 litres so doesnt it have like 7 litres left ? or is it a safety thing

I think I have you all beat! + I'm sure i have written this somewhere before...
Anyway... took a trip to Melbourne, low fuel came on, so I punched up the next BP servo on the Garmin Nuvi. I came across a caltex, but checking the distance according the GPS it was only 10 more k's to the servo, so I drove past with 1 blue bar left.
I got to where the service station was suppose to be, to find there was nothing but bush.. within a 1k of driving past the ghost BP station, my bars went away... I pulled up the servo list and kept driving thinking another (any station) would be a head.. 64km went past before I got to the Albury North Service station.
Filled 54.35L to the brim of my 55L tank! - 560km out of an Evo Tank!

Holy crap! This thread is delivering the info See, I wondered whether 55L meant the tank itself, tank and lines to the engine, return lines from the engine, the filler neck... I wouldn't've thought it possible to fill up that much, but looks like 55L might actually be the usable capacity.
How good is the feeling, after running on fumes, short-shifting and easy on the throttle and cursing every red light, to fill it up and floor it away from the servo
