Just make sure that the people know what they're doing, because they could mess up your car if they don't.

I also wouldn't pay more than $200 for the installation. I suggest that you agree with a fixed price instead of an hourly rate.

David, you're in Dandenong right? There are dozens of good/reputable shops around there that can do the installation for you (and cheaper than Mitsubishi).

Mitsubishi are horribly expensive for their poor quality of work and as you've seen, they have a bad attitude. What sane business refuses guaranteed work AND money?! The reasonable thing to do would have been to schedule you in and happily do a 20 minute job and charge you for 3 hours of work + extras :P

are you buying all OEM pre painted parts? all oem parts will not require custom drilling or anything, it should just bolt up.

if your in the northern suburb- eastern suburbs
(craigieburn - cranbourne) ill happy to help out installing your stuff. shouldnt take too long.

Hi Lance,

I'm in Caulfield, I've found a bodyshop in Ringwood which can do $80 an hour and have quoted me for 2 hours so that's the cheapest I have so far.

The OEM side skirts do require drilling... approx. 6 holes for each skirt I think :/

Yea I was shocked when they said $80 an hour.

I know a guy who works there as well so could very well get 'Mates Rates' :)

I'm booked in for tomorrow afternoon :)

David, just make sure they apply the double-sided tape to the skirts, so that water won't seep through the gaps. You will see traces of the old adhesive, so tell them to do something similar. Good luck!

Ok so I guess I better open up this thread again.

I got all the way to the garage and they told me they can't do it, but if I wanted them to try then they'd charge 3 hours labour! :S

So if there's anyone here handy with a drill and wants to earn a bit of cash, let me know.

Or if anyone knows of a body shop who will install them... let me know
