Hey queenslanders!
Would there be much interest in a track day?? (not drags) but all take our cars to a circuit for a day?? We can Possibly organize a category time attack etc for people keen to participate. We would divide into EVOS, RA's, NA's, and opens so its fair .

We are running roughly 3-4 sessions of 20 minutes (depending on overall turnout as we won't be the only ones there)

Now guys this event can only be successful if we get a good attendance so let me know if your in so we can get a good idea on numbers soon

SPECTATORS ARE FREE AND ONSITE PARKING AVAILABLE FREE

DETAILS: Lakeside raceway, SATURDAY 8-9-12, From 8 30am till 12pm

DRESS: Long sleeves, long pants, closed shoes and helmet ($5 to hire)

COST: $120 + $30 for your license

Unfortunately PASSENGERS are prohibited to ride so it's just one person (driver only) in the car while racing

Just some personal input here guys from someone that knows the limits of a CJ lancer I would recommend being careful if you choose QLD raceway near Ipswich. I have raced that track before (not in the lancer) and it has long straights and high speed corners, it is also very very hard on brakes. On the upside however it does have alot of run off before you hit an unforgiving wall.

Lakeside is another option that is a lower average speed however in some places the walls are close to the track.

Just some heads up guys, but both tracks would still be great fun if you drive to your limits.

thanks nathan, we usually do lakeside because of that and the fact that its closer so manni, get some numbers for these dates 08/09 or 14/10, saturday mornings from 8.30 to 12
cost is $80 + $30 for a license.
