If you do decide to contest, get legal advice and don't self-represent. Though you have to weigh up the likelihood of getting off and the more likely outcome of having the penalties increased for wasting the court's time.

You're on your P's, put it down to a lesson learnt. As long as you learn from it, then something good has come of it.

i know in QLD, if you "need" the break the speed limit to overtake someone, then you didnt need to over take them in the first place.

im pretty sure they cannot place any speed cameras going up or down a hill. im trying to find it for you but i couldnt. ive used it once and it worked.

ps. im NOT at anyway telling you that its ok to speed and overtake especially if the person in front of you does 20 kph. I hope if you get away with this that it becomes a lesson for you.

They can put speed cameras on hills.

Face the facts, you speed you face the consequences.

Lucky for you and maybe some innocent motorist or pedestrian the consequences are you losing your license and not a life or injury.

going to court wont do much when it is clearly outlined in the laws and penalties for breaking those laws.

I agree, I sped, I should "do the time." I'm not going to contest it, I have no grounds to do so, it was my choice, my fault. I only said I was stupid because I had so much time to break but for some reason decided not to.
