tow bar for lancer CJ or Ralliart

hi can anyone tell me if it would be the same towbar that fits a CJ Lancer would fit a ralliart lancer ???????? Thanks Gary

Nope.
I don't think the RA was setup to tow.

he made a custom bar to allow his RA to tow.

They look the same in pictures - but why not just call Parts and ask them? You're just going to get people making unfounded guesses around here...

Mitsu have a towing capacity listed on their Ralliart website (under the capacities tab) http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com.au/veh ... ifications

Obviously the car is registered to tow a load under ADR.

I've got OEM towbars on both my VRX and RA unfortunately the part numbers aren't visable. But I do believe they are different

They are normally pretty different for some reason, i cant tell you why.

Check out hayman reece. They are what i would call the leaders in towing applications.

Im waiting for someone to release a 2012 tow bar for the platinum. Apparently there is a new exhaust system on them which makes the old tow bar not fit

I have tried every where can not get one for evo x unless you spend big dollars to get it approved i do think the ralliart one would fit but not game to try it yet??? gazza

I occasionally see Tynan motor group (one of the dealer groups in Sydney metro) list RA specific towbars in their ebay listings as part of their OEM accessories.

Ralliarts and evos have different rear bumpers and different mufflers... I wouldn't assume the same towbar could fit both unless you had evidence, good photos showing so, or mitsu's word.

I would have thought towbars would be a bit like exhausts, where you could go into a workshop and get them to make one up for you though?

After a lot of research finally got tow bar. Ralliart tow bar bolts straight on One small slot to cut just under rear plate but fits perfect when you remove tow tongue you can not notice the towbar at all. Gary
