@Mcmusic, everyone's free to buy them individually, theres even the train of thought that if enough do that, brings the group buy back to 25 and the original deal, but then would there be people whining about how they paid more?

The basic principle is that you cant offer something at a price to get people interested then reneg on it, its called 'bait and switch' and is illegal in Australia (yes i know full well that ebay is a different kettle of fish). If you were to go into Mitre 10 because there was a sign out there saying a particular mower was $100, and when you get in there they say "no, its really $120, we just put the sign there to get people in the door" then what would you think?

I think we shouldn't buy individually in protest, if you know anyone else willing or going to buy, tell them to stop. Dry this guy up, let him hold on to his stock, i'm sure he'll come begging us back for the sale.

While you are correct in saying that bait and switch is illegal in Australia, I must point out that you must also prove that the seller did not sell a "reasonable" quantity of the item at this amount. I just thought I would point this out, so that nobody gets the wrong idea and starts pursuing this seller for the wrong reasons.

Not really.

I would suggest those who want this over and done with and their fuel doors now to just buy them directly off eBay.

I usually don't have fixed time frames for things.
I sacrifice time for cheap prices.
(If I told you boys the price I paid for my Evo X Steering wheel, you'd freak out. For me when the price is cheap then it's right.)

You're doing a great job, Irving. Some sellers are just greedy as you said.
You should just stick it to him, put down an offer, tell him that's all he's getting and offering, and that he has 48 hours to accept, else, he gets a big fat raspberry, $0, the bird and you're taking your cash to someone else (even if it's slightly more), as long as he doesn't get any of it. See if he changes his tune. Such people just needed to be treated with contempt.
