I think Lancers are an every person car. You can mod them any way you want and they can suit everyone.
I got the "young persons car" thing when I bought mine. My eldests girlfriends mother carried on at me because I had a spoiler on it. I'm 48. Apparently you're not supposed to have spoilers and sporty looking sedans at 48. I was going to buy an RX8. Wonder what she would have said then lol
Actually, thinking about it, most of the people who own them around me are middle aged. They're taking over from the WRX as the older persons car of choice around home. They're reasonably priced and the warranty is second to none. And they have all the good things like Bluetooth and that. Who could go past that?
I've convinced two middle aged women to buy one in the last month. I should be on commission. I did get a letter from the dealer saying if I got someone to buy one and they mentioned my name I'd get $100 but these people were in different states. They probably still should have mentioned me eh One was jumping between the Mazda 3 and a Lancer and the other an i30 and a Lancer.
And people can't say that they don't have grunt just because they only have 4 cylinders. No matter how much Chubb doesn't believe me I did blow off an SS Commodore in Coffs Harbour at the lights and they WERE trying. I get most people at the lights actually. Now my Hubbies G6E Turbo would have a completely different outcome though. It leaves everything for dead
Not a girls car.......now a hot pink Yaris......that's a girls car

Here we go again must be something magic in that Gloucester water, that or you got the Driftnut package lancer apparently he can beat a Ralliart with his Activ. Hey maybe you two can have a HOON off together, you might just beat Twatty's quarter mile time.
No one has really given me and hassles or told me it a girls car, only one friend but i tell her its better then a Hyundai!!!
I get alot of people actually turning heads and cant believe that at a young age ive got myself a car that looks brand new and has been slightly modified. The best is at petrol stations or where there are lots of crowd. Alot of people comment on my wheels or how at a young age ive got "an expensive car"
BTW... I dont get told its a chicks car, I get chicks in the car!!

I can believe that
Last Wednesday night, coming home form a casual meet-up, I did leave a BMW 318i for dead at the lights. And he was trying.
It is possible to leave people for dead in your NA lancer, you just have to "launch" properly
Obviously there would be no competition with Twatty's car but other NA cars the lancer can do it

i always copped shit that my gen 2 mps was a girls car. when it came time to sell 90% of enquires were actually form girls, and i sold it to a girl :/ she never even test drove it and stalled it when she took off. so i can just assume its wrapped around a pole somewhere. i still think a stock mps would beat my stock evo to 250 could be wrong but it felt quicker.
i dont see how any cj would be considered a girls car they have hard lines and look tuff to me.
