Alright I'll give it a geeze tomorrow night after work
From the best that I can find, all I need to do is trace where all the wires from the aftermarket alarm are leading to and disconnect them one by one ensuring that any wire that they are spliced into are correctly re-joined as they were from the factory correct?
Shouldnt be too hard id imagine. just means I have to take my whole dash apart >:(
Is there anything I really need to pay attention to in particular? Ie the imoboliser? I have no idea if there anything that connected to my alarm to the factory imoboliser... I cant recall if they connected the imboliser harness to the control unit under the dash but I know there is a seperate harness which controls it..
Just trolling through the user guide and installation guide right now trying to work out what its got in there..
According to the User guide, this is whats included in the box when I bought it...
➤ Control module
➤ 1 four-button 2-way LCD transmitter
➤ 1 four-button transmitter
➤ Wire harnesses
➤ Dual diode harness
➤ The 514N six-tone programmable siren
➤ In-vehicle status LED indicator light
➤ A push-button Valet switch
➤ Your warranty registration
➤ Failsafe®
Starter Kill ready circuitry
(may require additional labor)
➤ 548T transceiver/antenna
note: On both remotes the panic button is the same color.
Does that tell anyone anything? Only thing im really looking at is the starer kill ready circuitry...
Defined in the glossary:
" Fail Safe Starter Kill: An automatic switch controlled by the secu-
rity system which prevents the vehicle’s starter from cranking
whenever the system is armed. The vehicle is never prevented
from cranking when the system is disarmed, in Valet mode, or
should the starter interrupt switch itself fail. Your system is ready
for this feature, however installation may require additional labor."

Theres no point going to JB really, I want the alarm out of the car, it wasnt designed for the car and im probably just better off pwning it off for $100 on ebay or something.
Im sick of the remote that came with it, its hella cool to show off to my friends n stuff like that and it has cool features but its just a bulky un-nessacery thing on my keychain. The factory system will do everything that I need it to do. All I really want is a chirp from the car when I lock and unlock the car which should be pretty easy to hook up i'd imagine. I think ive seen it done somewhere before..

They probs wont give me a full refund due to the age of the unit. I know directed units come with a lifetime limited warranty however its void if it played with by anyone who is not an autorised directed installer person guy.
I had a quick search around for anything regarding the free removal of the alarm however I cant find anything...What should I say to them when I take it to them?
