Hey buddy,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgiQic_2OEI

^^ Have a geez at that video, that will show you how to remove your door pannels themselves.

Now from memory there are only clips holding these in. Once you see the back side of the door pannel it will become quite apparent on how to remove them. Towards the left side edge of the door trim though there is a long clip/socket looking thing which has to be slid out in order to get it out properly.

It isnt a hard thing to do, just take your time to not damage the clips. I MAY have a video of me removing it but ill have to have a geez

Edit: Just remembered, the cloth trim has to be removed before you can take out the clips from memory

Take off the panel underneath (the black one with the buttons in it) first. It overlaps the clips and screws (can't remember if there are any) of the silver bit :)

to be honest, i would probably go with a gloss black colour. A member on here tjoz has them painted black with a red pinstripe and it looks the business to me. Perhaps maybe a blue pinstripe for you? It would look factory and not too over the top however adding a little of customness to the interior of the car

Having them blue will stand out quite a bit and I would think you would need more blue accents throughout the car to make it work properly.

Each to their own however thats just my opinon :)

Can we have an update please?

I want to remove the door strip (silver) but seen conflicting advice, one video on YT has them being ripped strait of from the front of the door with no screws holding them. Others say you have to remove the whole door trim first to get them off.

Go down to one of those wreckers. the ones that get you to remove what you want, find a real crappy one that has had it and no one will want and try taking it off
you then leave it there but know what happens. while your there you could come across something you do want

The strip looks like it just pops off. There is a piece that unscrews that holds the vinyl piece to the door to do that you remove the door trim

The local wreckers on the Sunshine coast don't allow anyone to go in a remove parts.

Will have to remove to door trim when I car to see whats what and get to the bottom of this, still deciding between wrap or plasti-dip!

Have the other day looked at two videos, re: removing silver door trims.
(1) just levering it off, without taking the door trim off. Just popped the vclips and off it came
(2) took the door trim off and had to unscrew the silver door trim off.

Conclusion:- Either the clips are held in place by screws, highly unlikely. Or depends on year of manufacture!!!
Pull one door trim off and check, or take a punt, pop it and hope nothing gets broken.

While the door trim is off. Here's your opotunity to sound proof the door or maybe install better speakers??!!
