If considering the C30, you would be better off looking for an XR5. Not sure if there are any still in dealers... They have them runout for $33990 at the moment...

2006 models are still selling for $20k...

Skoda are owned by VW. A lot of the parts including body parts are interchangeable...

He said the only Focus he would get would be an XR5 and he couldn't find one because they're not making them anymore.

I know that, that is why I said if the dealers have anymore :)

Ford have sold Volvo. The last ford to be sold here with the Volvo engine will be the Ford Kuga when it hits.

There are probably some low km demos around. Or for sale on here:

Last night his girlfriend found an identical one in carsales for $30000. It's a year old. Redbook said that it should only be worth between $26K and probably $28K with the kms on it. A year old and it's already lost around $14000. Lot of money for a $40,000 car eh.

Anyhoo if they can get it cheaper somewhere around what redbook reckon they're going for it.

The problem is that the cars aren't worth that much but people still owe a hell of a lot on them and have to try to sell them at the higher price.

Do I dare suggest an Italian car?! Just from a purely visual perspective I think the alfa giulietta is a fantastic looking little car

Alfas are nice cars :) Some of the European cars are just sex on wheels.

My ex had an alfa. Sex on wheels!! But be prepared to part with thousands...My 200 dollar datsun (god bless them) was more reliable. Even after i set it on fire!!

Yeah they're definitely not the most reliable things on wheels.
