I've read a journo's review and it seems like it will be similar to the MX-5 in driving dynamics and, more importnantly for the members of this club, is made for mods :twisted:

@WTR: Defection to a RWD, manual coupe priced (hopefully) around the same as a VRX? You bet I am! The GT 86 to me represents a stepping stone (while I still work for peanuts :lol:

) to a 1M or Alfa 4C (conditional on the lazy wogs actually building the 4C

) when I start making the big bucks!

@BlackBetty: Thanks, already downloading some pics to make a new wallpaper.

For anyone who's interested there are some videos of this car going around a track (among other things) which show already that it is made for drifting!!

I think you will find that when this car is released in AUS, it will be around $40k rather than the $30k mark of a VRX.

definitely around 40k i dont see it being a reat performance car fo the money. however it is a nice looking car.

well the 86 is designed by Subi, has a subi engine, subi exhaust, subi frame, subi suspension ........

Pretty much only thing not done by suburu is the badging ..... or 4wd

Meaty I think you will find that the car was designed by Toyota, but yeah most all the bits that make up the car itself were provided by Subaru.
