I'm now waiting for our Taiwan contact to quote shipping. Once I get that, we should be right to go.

Ofey - can you confirm whether this will be a 'test run' and then a group buy?

I'm getting two gists here - that one and I'm also getting an inkling that this IS the group buy.
Cause I'd kind of want to wait for a quality check for something thats $400. If they're fine and easy to install, I'd turn around and raise my hand for a group buy for these and the taillights at the same time.

yes. This is a test run.

But there seem to be many impatient people who don't care much for test buying and are simply gonna go for it.

The more who buy, the lower the shipping costs will be.
So I guess I have to accommodate them.

Yes - A big thanks to Ofey for running with this... !! Awesome effort.

I just posted up the pics from the contact I had been watching for these to turn up....

I knew Ofey had some other contacts and the experience to arrange these things, so I was hoping that this would pan out to an eventual GB for the club.

Keep in mind to all that are excited - Although you may save a little on shipping now, all Ofey was trying to do was get a sample of each type to inspect and check for quality.
We have already had the contact mention that the build quality on the Sonor brand is a little below par, so it might be best to wait for all these units to arrive for their owners to inspect and comment on and get better pics etc....

I'm sure that a GB will be arranged for some time in the near future (new year?) and there already looks to be plenty of interest.

I just need to save some pennies for after Christmas for a set....

I'd be interested in a GB in the new year. Cash flow is low at the moment, plus I'd rather wait for a decent quality check.

They look great though.

In general, like most retail, people will hold off spending for a while (after christmas and new year). For the best results Feb is probably the best time, or late Jan, though with kids starting school sometimes that puts financial strain again.
