A bit of a pickle.

So today as i dropped my sister at school i was driving through the school car park. A mazda 6 infront turned half way into a bay and stopped. so i decided to drive through and leave the parking lot. but before i could fully go past she decided to reverse into my car when i was behind her.

this is where the problem begins......

she claims i went speeding behind her as she was reversing....
and a witness claims i was speeding through out the entire car park and decided to drive into a reversing car.

my lancer is rather loud as i have a greddy se and a k&n SRI on it. so when im in first tapping the throttle and holding the clutch it does make a bit of noise.... so i under stand where the whole hoon speeding comes from.

but i swear i went behind her as she was going into the front bay before she stopped and started reversing......
then when she did start all i saw were her reverse lights and froze :/

damage to my car is minimal, it just crumpled the panels in the front. nothing really noticeable. where as her cars rear bumper is cracked in the middle where she reversed into me.

i am rather keen for a police report as i swear i wasnt speeding and i was behind her well before she thought about reversing.

She was reversing.. isn't that instantly her fault then? If she reversed into your side door that is and not you hitting hers.

If a car is reversing out of a parking bay and they are half way or more out of the bay (or you have to go around them to get past) then they have right of way.

she was in the bay and stopped when i went to pass. she hit were the drivers wheel is more to the front bumper. she started to reverse after i started to pass.... i swear she didnt look.

any one know if there is a chance i can get a ra front through insurance?

U wont get an RA front thru insurance cuz an RA front costs significantly more.... the one u can thru insurance is the RA rear bar

I think this is a situation of a he said she said and since there is a witness against you, would be really hard to argue otherwise...

If she wasn't finished parking I'd have to say its your fault... In your first post you said she was halfway in and then decided to reverse, so she wasn't finished parking... If she went the whole way in, and then wanted to reverse, then she would've had to wait for you and anyone else.

If you were 'behind her before she thought about reversing' she wouldn't have hit you unless she wasted no time and floored it backwards...

lol it looked pretty clear to me when i typed it.... an RA front bar costs significantly more than the normal lancer front bumper..... whereas the RA rear bumper costs about the same as the normal lancer rear bumper...
