Does anyone know of one available for the CJ? And, if anyone has done it an installation guide would be greatly appreciated :)

I have one fitted to my evo.
It was an option when I brought it.
you still have to turn the ignition on before you push the start button so I hardly ever use it.
It looks good and glows red but.

Cheers Brad.

If you happen to have the panels off in the future for any reason, reckon you could post a pic on here? I'm not a fan of playing with the wiring, it can be very easy to break stuff. So if it's plug n play, or simple, then it'll be an investment for me :)

your going to have some skills and confidence to do this or get someone else to help you do this . otherwise you might have a bit of trouble.

I have the skills, no problem with that. I just haven't seen the wiring before. Last time I did a start button was on a '96 camry, and it was much easier than the CJ (I can imagine)

Sorry to hijack this thread after a few months.. but is anyone aware if we can add a start/stop button.. and use it without putting the key into the "On" Position.. the only reason i ask.. is i have the smart key, so i don't need to physically insert the key, so if i can get a button would be so much better than turning the plastic thing..
Not sure if people here watch 'Mighty Car Mods' but they just recently did a show on installing the start/stop button.. however all they talk about is doing the two handed start (turn the key, then press the button).. in my opinion totally defeats the purpose of the button..
Any help would be appreciated :D

Yes it can be done. Uses the pedal instead of turning key. 200 series land cruiser prado has push button start and stop. If u push it without brake depressed....

1 push = accessories
2 push = ignition

Or with brake pushed
1 push = start car
