Thank you

No. it's not included, but you can request it to be done during the normal service, for an additional fee.

Check your service booklet, it will list all the mandatory items for that service interval and the "optional" checks.
Anyway, you gotta pay either way.

It's sickening to know your brand new car goes out of the dealer and during the next day, you have Bob Jane check the alignment and none of the wheels are actually in correct orientation. It seems to be a safety issue and neglect on the dealer's part. Shouldn't we be claiming compensation for this?

It all depends on whether the dealership has an alignment machine. And if they do, how much they want to make out of their machine.
Most dealers who do not have a machine will sub out the jobs to tyre joints like Bob Jane or Jax or some place like that (whichever is closest), get charged cost price, and then mark it up for the customer.

Mitsubishi did my wheel alignment on my 15,000km service. Didn't seem to make a difference and was charged $70. Apparently they wheel align the whole 4 wheels now. A was aware they only align the front two. Even some tyre places I have been too offer to do all four wheels for a additional fee. Anyone know more about this??
not included in the service but if you're nice they just do it anyway
I remember getting a phone call from them once...
"Hi, we have done a wheel alignment and rotated your tyres and that will be an extra...."
"...no, I didn't ask you to do that I'm not paying for it, put the tyres back where they were."
it shits me when dealers just do stuff and then tell you to pay afterwards... if they had called first then I would of just said yes, no worries.

Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul.

Yes it is normal to have 4 wheels aligned. Most modern cars now need all 4 wheels aligned as they have adjustment in the rear because of independent rear suspension.
You will not notice a difference after an alignment unless they change the position of the steering wheel. Normally you only notice your car needs a wheel alignment once you realise your tyres are unevenly worn. Once you notice it is often too late and costs you new tyres.
$70 for regular wheel alignments is a good investment for tyres often costing $1000 a set to replace.
