"Show & Shine" photoshoot meet series

The point of these meets will be to show off your car and have it in a state that is presentable and worthy of being photographed.
*** The format of these "Show & Shine" meets will be a little more formal than the casual mini-meets. ***

As we already have a regular mini-meet schedule rotating through various locations, some have requested additional less frequent larger meets, where people come from all areas and take some photos at these larger meets. As per the follow on discussion from http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?p=213952#213952 - the first one being a meet on the boulevard @ Olympic Stadium.

Early Jan - Mini inter-state/territory meet. Let's visit Uncle Rick (ScraverX) and other ClubCJ.net ACT members in Canberra. The only twisty roads down there are roundabouts.... - depends on EOI level.
26 Jan - Australia Day - Anyone interested in a ClubCJ BBQ - Perhaps a cruise and picnic up on the Hawkesbury/Wisemans Ferry?

NSW Yearly ClubCJ mega-meet. SAM-24A set the standard last year and we got a record attendance.

Notes:
We need 2 cruises to cover the lovely summer months in Mid-Oct/Nov/Mid-Dec. Suggestions?
RNP has been done to death. Something different and original if possible.
Kiama has been suggested in the old threads.

Yes for me!

As in the other thread, I'm suggesting Olympic Park as one of the venues (at night). The street outside ANZ stadium/Acer Arena provides excellent lighting that reflects on all sides of the car, just like showroom lights are meant to make a car look shiny.

Yes, I've ammended the thread, I was just in a rush to start a new thread for this initiative, I just put in generic details.
So the innaugural event will be somewherre in Olympic Park, we just have to decide on a date. I know end of October was suggested.
However lets decide on a day and whether we want an evening dusk.
REMEMBER, DAYLIGHT SAVING would have happeneed by the time this event happens, so it will be still be quite bright at 7pm!

The only concrete thing we've had with regards to dates is:

Ive checked the events for the weekend of the 29th and 30th October and whilst it looks like theres nothing really happening at both Acer Arena and ANZ Stadium around those days, on the 30th theres a Porsche Club NSW Judging Event (http://www.sydneyolympicpark.com.au/whats_on/shows_and_entertainment_events/porsche_club_nsw_concours_2011g) happening on one side of Olympic Park.... maybe we could subtly enter our Lancers? PS. Its free entry. lol

I've put up a poll that will run for 3.5 days - so we can guage if people want this on a weekend or a weekday evening/night. Once we get that sorted we can start looking at possible dates without clashing with Olympic Park security, as their management tell security to move people on when there are high profile events.

Olympic park gets my vote as well, played around when a relative bought his EP3 a couple of months ago and we were taking some shots that turned out quite nice. Should look better if you know what your doing lol.
