For those people driving, please remember to bring the following...
Long Sleeve Shirt
Long Pants
[A Tracksuit is good for this as you can wear it on the track, then strip back to tshirt and shorts out of the car - Just leave the Adidas Bum Bag at home Uleh]
Helmut (or hire one... but your own would be better)
Closed in Shoes
Full Tank of Fuel (Highest Octane)
Check your tyre pressures before the day, make sure they are high!!!! These can be fine tuned at the track (Dont exceed the tyre makers maximum inflation on the sidewall of the tyre!!!)
Take all the shit out of your car! Every last bit!
Bring your spare tyre and jack etc, we will have room to leave these in our garage area
Camp Chairs for sitting
An Esky of softdrinks will be supplied, bring your own water! And don't forget to pay for the drinks you take from the Esky
I doubt we will do a BBQ Lunch, there are places nearby though where you can eat - You may need to refuel half way through the day anyway, we dont want any tank slappers when your fuel is getting down (As fun as they are though )
A spare pair of front brake pads could come in handy depending on how old your current ones are, there are only 2 corners to slow down for at lakeside, and both are from 170 down to 70ish... this will kill dead pads quickly. Call Megatron (Alan) if you need pads - He may be able to arrange them for the day - 0413 686 238
Check the basic fluids - Oil, Coolant, Washer, Brake, Transmission etc... Make sure they are all good to go.
Follow these simple steps, and you will have a great day at Lakeside with the rest of the crew! Remember, it is not a competition on the track, this is purely a test and tune day, so just for fun and to enjoy pushing your car to the limits that you normally wouldn't be able to reach on public roads.
If you are not used to driving quickly with your ASC turned off, leave it on! An every day driver will get a faster time using the ASC then they would wailing all over the track!!! If you do turn it off and find yourself quickly loosing grip, turn it back on ASAP and it will save your arse quicksmart! lol
See you all there!!!
