As I always do before I plunge into any group buy, I've sent out my feelers to find things out for me.

My old contacts in Malaysia have sent me this note:

I got some bad news.
I had a try fitting the steel evoX hood yesterday on my friends 2009 lancer 2.0liter. It is manufactured in Taiwan and the first batch is crap. You cant install the oem heat shield as the underside of the hood does not have the fittings for this. The hood does not lined up with the front fenders well. We decided not to buy it and will wait for the next shipment of 'refined' hoods in September.

I suspect those now with CSFX is also from this first batch.

I might need to hold on this group buy. Not good news but better than us getting shoddy stock cleared to us.


On the other hand:

The PU/PP type rear/front bumpers, side skirts and rear spoilers look really good through. Most modders here use the carbon fiber front hood and rear trunk because they are really good replicas. I can buy a set for you to test if you want?

I will put up pictures when I get them.
