Woke up this morning to found out that my back right was completely flat. Had a look around and saw that almost every car had one flat tire. Apparently last night someone thought it would be awesome to go around and puncture each one with a phillips head.. straight through the sidewall.
Will post a picture up, a solid $230 out of pocket.
Trying to think of options for catching the person(s), as there were multiple cars affected the damages should be in the thousands of dollars. It's so frustrating to think that people would actually go around and willfully destroy other peoples property..
Maybe talk about what my current options are/ other vandalism stories.
p.s. went to bob jane, ordered a new tire and they gave me a second hand (about 80%) tread identically sized tire to use in the mean-time. Really nice of them.

It actually occurred at the Griffith university village, which is a student accommodation. They have many security cameras and actually have security guards who patrol regularly.. I spoke with the police and they said that on Monday they would go have a look through the CCTV footage.
I'm hoping that the perpetrator is brought to justice..

They'll probably see a 'tall white male wearing a hoodie' or something similar, and it won't progress...
That said I really hope they do catch them. Meaningless destruction is even worse than revenge/anger destruction.
Theres student accommodation in Perth with a retirement village across the road that'd almost certainly have cameras. It doesn't have to be the obvious places like shops etc. Hopefully the police do their job thoroughly.

Sorry to hear about that Dean,
I too got a puncture in one of my tyres (although not through vandalism) and I had damaged the sidewall driving on it half flat and had to get it replaced at Bob Jane for $239.
That particular person serving me had terrible customer service...
I doubt that person who punctured your tyre will ever be caught but we can only hope that they'll get what's coming for them.

Spoke with the security just a moment ago, long story short, 26 cars affected over friday/sat morning and sat/sunday morning. The security guard has footage of the guy wearing a hoodie over a few cars (nothing incriminating) the man has been unofficially identified (with 100% confidence). Will update the thread when more information comes up.
