Use a tow truck, lift up the front of the car. Your hand brake will not lock the back wheels, so you can just drive off with the rear wheels rolling along with you.. If you head in park, the front wheels are locked, the tow truck will have to drag it...

Damn, that means if I jack up the front of the car on a slope that would be one hell of an experience.

That's why safety first, flat surface and chock both back wheels if you're jacking both front wheels from the centre member!

I don't understand? But I *can* drive, reverse or forward, if you dont have driving skills, change of direction aint gonna save one's lame ass.

I share MiztaB's dilemma, front bumper is too low, so if I do go in straight the arse hangs way out of the parking, so reverse in and save the hassle, looks better too.

Yes the hand brake locks the rear wheels, in all most all cars, only very few do they lock fronts

i park nose in cause i've only been driving for like 8 months and im way too terrified to try reverse it in when i can barely get a park right going forward. needless to say, the front body kit bit has taken a bit of a beating :-( i'm just too nervous to start trying to reverse park it in a busy car park and inevitably failing miserably!

I always reverse in, and park next to a pole. And never more than 1" from the pole lol

You always get the right angle when you reverse in, and can drive straight out when its time to go. I hate trying to reverse out of a gap with 4wd or vans both sides, people walking behind you that just jump out of no where, and 2 other cars fighting for your space before your even out of it hahaha

Ha ha I used to be like that when I got my licence. Just remember, when someone else is trying to reverse park on a busy street or carpark, give them way, the favour will be repaid in kind. Put good karma out there and it will be given back. :)

Okay, contradicting what I said above to Amy, you need some "Harden up" sydney driving lessons and how to deal with idiots in car parks!

Heh... I learnt how to reverse park in and out of a car port before anything else (this was when I was about 12), so I am very comfortable with reverse parking. Problem is that I like parking next to pillars at car parks. This is because I can get right up close to them to leave the maximum distance from the car on the opposite side. Since reverse parking as close to a pillar as possible raises the issue of getting out of the car... I mostly park nose first.

Haha 4 times a year I am subjected to tourists from all parts, the Sydney drivers are by far the tamest haha
at Christmas time this place has a population growth of around 400% for just 5 weeks. you "tough" Sydney drivers haven't seen anything quite like it haha :P

If there's lots of room or I can head straight into the carpark I go straight in but otherwise I reverse in. I scraped the Craptiva a couple of years ago in Charlestown Square in Newy (the first time in 30 years) and now I'm really scared of doing it again. In the Bubble I just go straight in because it's so easy to get in and out of anywhere and you don't have to go right up to the end of the spot.

Usually I park on the extreme edges of the carpark away from everyone else.

definately reverse in and next to a pole. and in therare chance. on the other side thre will be a car that i know will not move for the day. this is my strategy on how not to get scratches from inconsiderate bastards. and also, that way, when i walk away. i can look back at the front n smile lol
