Radar dectector hey, nice way to really piss a cop off when you get pulled over. I hope you plan to keep you car stock because once a cop sees the detector mounted on your dash they will hit your car with a fine tooth combe to find defects.
You may have read alot of crap about Radar detectors not being detectable yada yada yada. Alot of highway patrol cars are now able to scan and check the rego of over 100 cars per minute in 4 lanes of traffic, detecting a frequency "dead zone" from you detector would not be that hard.
Cheers.

That's where the sensor for the Auto-headlight feature sits. It does pop out but I don't think anyone's looked at just how to achieve this.
I'm considering adding Auto-headlights (you can get the parts from Japanparts) but haven't really looked into it yet.

Sorry, that cover between the 2 air vents is just that ...a cover up plug
it would seem the sensor for the auto headlights is actually located in with the rain sensor. I have tested that centre cover up plug out in daylight and covered it up with my hand, cardboard, letters, and does nothing to light up the headlights. Cover the Rain Sensor with same objects and Presto the headlights come on
