Me again

Could the usernames in the chat be changed to display the same as they do on posts? (so, whatever colour/effects you have bought in the store).

Would add a little more personalisation and colour. :)

(yes, I just changed my name green and thought of this)

Edit: Could be a premium-only thing perhaps.

I hear your suggestion Jake,

however I think it will introduce to much confusion & color since many Usernames (as they appear in the Avatar) already are so modified via color, strike-through, underline, glow etc.

Its OK to be creative and unique in your "Identity" appearance, and that's why I think it should remain in your Avatar.

But the "Chat" field should remain parallel & consistent.
The main objective is to "Recognize" the member submitting a message .... not their "Colorful Flair & Identity"

The "Admin/Com Status" & "Sponsor/Vendor" color scheme (red, green, orange) is Applicable and Respectfully Sufficient.

My Opinion Only:

Its not like they flash or anything Sam but you could be right.

Part of me would also like a way to distinguish between premiums and non-premiums but that could be over-complicating things.

Hey Jake,

I just went back and had another read of my previous post, and it read as a bit "Authoritarian" or "In Your Face" type attitude......and I don't know why.

"I'm Sorry" ..... I really didn't mean to respond in that manner, if that's the way you read it also.

I guess I just meant there was enough coloring in the Avatars & Thread Posting without having to splash it through-out the Chat also.

I just think the Chat is a place to have a simple & quick read and reply without having to digress & decipher through a maze of alternate colors.

That is fine Sam, I didn't get that impression.

I noticed the 'GB in the news feed' suggestion is crossed off. Is that served by the dispatch thread?

The dates on cruise threads are YYMMDD

We are in Australia, so should be DDMMYY

Yeah I know... but I have noticed that threads that have not had the date in that format now do...

This was the latest suggestion thread, so thought I would post it here :)

Another thing I have thought of, is removing the ability for members to delete posts including their own. It can affect the flow of a conversation. At least if a post is edited, it is seen in red at the bottom of each post.

Also, allowing the OP to lock their own for sale threads would make life easier for mods.

maybe its just me, but i feel the /index page could be cut off from chat down and if you want to see a list of forums you click the forums tab, its not like you don't have a list of recent active topics on the index anyway.

could we have the recent active topics extended by 5?

i know it says premium members get a discount on group buys and such, but does that happen?

i`m with lzy in that ALL deleted posts should be flagged just like the edited ones should be.
i know the committee can delete ppls posts without flagging them.
