I am speccing up braided lines as we speak, and obtaining new pads fluids etc to get it all done
Patience is a virtue grasshopper the car still stops in the mean time

I've been trying to get my hands on RA Front Brakes for 2 years without any success, until finally:

I purchased them from a wrecker in the USA.
I've stripped them down.
I've glass blasted them back to original metal.
I've purchased new Seal kits.
I've purchased new Braided Lines.
I've ordered the best Calliper paint money can buy. G2 Calliper paint (2 pack, brush-on epoxy - 980"C) from Ebay only.
I've ordered New Pads.
I bought New DBA 4000 Six-Wipe Slotted Rotors (thanks Ken)
I bought PBR Racing Fluid 312" deg's.
I bought Anti Squeal Backing Shims.

Now I'm waiting for the Paint to arrive so I can Paint - Build - Fit & Enjoy

Sam

Yes, I spoke with him on Tuesday evening, but he said you had not made any arrangements with him for before Easter.

PS: Did you speak to your paint friend with ref to High Temp Calliper Paint.

Sam.

I went for blue.

I don't have the luxury of stripping mine to bits to paint properly though. The joys of a daily driver!!

I was tempted with Blue (aka VW Golf R-Spec) but decided to stay natural.

I used VHT engine enamel last time, and it lasted 12 months.

Normal Caliper paint will probably be ok, but this G2 stuff is meant to be awesome. Better range of colours too.

The most important thing is paint preparation.

The parts need to be clean and the surface within the paint specifications.

Link: G2 Calliper Paint

As far as I know, G2 is only available on EBay.
The cheapest price and postage is this seller: Cover Shield.

Well guys guess what. Even with all your help and the 4 emails to make sure they had the right ones, I have been delivered a set of two VRX rotors! Geez............ Hope they'll agree to a refund, ended up having to have the old ones machined.

What part number did they send you? We've just fitted a set of RDA slotted rotors to a VRX no problem at all, identical to the original ones...

Sick of paying too much for performance brake pads? Want high performance with low rotor wear?
