Ralliart Rear Bumper!

hey guys just wanting to know if the ralliart rear bumper fits on the vr lancers, i know the evo's body parts dont cause of the pumped guards and all the rest but the ralliart seems to look no different..

Yes, many have done it especially after a rear end crash. To buy it you will need a RA Vin no.

Yes it will fit.

Most dealers will ask you for a RA VIN number before they'll sell one.

Lastly, your stock single pipe exhaust will NOT fit.

Not a question of 2 pipes vs 1.

The one on the right as you look won't even line up properly, so the day you fit the bumper bar, you will need to go see your exhaust guy to get it sorted.

The reason they ask for a vin number is so the correct part is ordered off the Mitsubishi parts system, its not some exclusive system so you cant get parts if you dont have a ralliart or any other model with higher specs than yourse, They dont want to order parts in that are incorrect that you dont want and have to keep in stock.

Where i work they use my vin number if someone is after ralliart parts for a lower spec model.

Yes the system requires a RA VIN so they can ascertain parts but further to that, Mitsubishi keeps track of the parts ordered and whenever a RA or Evo part is ordered, they get flagged. After awhile, they do investigate and have been known to fine dealerships who sell too many of them to the same VIN.

not dealerships need a vin number, if you go to a dealership that sell the ralliart model usually wont ask you as they keep one in stock well thats what my local did any way as above posts have said yes it will fit yes you will have to change your exhaust and the best bit for you is they come painted in white!

oh awsome, thanks heaps for all your help guys, im keen as to get the ralliart rear bumper so therefore i might just go ahead and ring up my local mitsubishi dealership, im having problems with my exhaust anyways because it sounds like POO so i am thinking to get something done to that so i might aswell just wait for the ralliart rear bumper so whie they are at it just do all at once..

You're right and you can re-do the bumper yourself.

Once you've redone your bumper, get the car to an exhaust shop to do the next step.
