OK thanks behave - I have seen the movements described on the V8 cars when the camera is in the footwell of the car.

Still reckon I don't go fast enough in cars to worry about it - but I can understand how having the pedals at differing lengths away from your right foot would be annoying when trying..

You need to know how to do both to get the most out of a Formula Ford.

Do you race a Formula Ford?

I mucked up my description - Car tries to leap backwards on ya when slowing down, not accelerating. Tries to jerk forwards when accelerating (both times when you bugger up the gear change, and both times arent good for racing)

When you drive a car with 2 pedals, and you have 2 feet, the answer is obvious.

For a traditional manual on the road, left foot for only for clutch!

PS The V8's have a dog box..so no need for clutch on upshift...
