Where abouts are you from?
I grew up there and moved to Vic 3 years ago. Was back there in October and took the Lancer across on the boat.
Found a few new roads that I never drove on while growing up, but sure glad I had the Lancer when we went back!
Queenstown to Tullah, and a great dirt road around Copping (Tasman Peninsula). Then of course there is the Tasman Highway and the Lake Leake Highway. Actually just about any open road that isn't part of the Midland or Bass Highways is fantastic.
If you get the chance do the North East loop. From Launceston over the sideling to St Helens then back up the Elephant or St Marys Pass. About 400km drive from memory (use to do it regularly on a motorbike). That drive will take you on varied surfaces, tight hairpins on sheer drops in rainforests to open sweepers overlooking the ocean.
A national meet in Tassie should definitely be on the agenda.... but would have to be more of a 4-5 day tour than a cruise and chat to make the most of it.

sorry i didnt see your post! iam from hobart! yea it would be great to go for a cruise but going on these roads on your own would be boring, it would be way cooler if ppl gathered and we mad a cruise around tassie, so i hope we would make a cruise in tassie soon
Doug we do not have a mod on Tasmania so if you want a cruise I suggest you organise one yourself. I did this in SA and other members turned up. I suggest you just follow one of the other states format and include time, map and any try to have a meal as it is the best way to sit down and get to know each other.
Good luck.
Good luck.
