WTB: Chrome Exhaust Tip for an RX

Postby AshOz85 » Thu Nov 18, 2010 8:32 am

Hey all,

Ive got a MY10 2009 RX Sedan and this model didn't come with a chrome exhaust tip add on. So unfortunately Ive got a stock pipe which needs a little jazzing up.

I talked to a couple of dealers in the ACT & NSW and one quoted me $97.75 (not installed) for the chrome tip in the online Mitsubishi genuine parts book and the dealer I bought my car at quoted me $100 including installation.

I'm just wondering if anyone has a chrome tip from their VRX or Aspire (I think the Activ had them as well) that they would be willing to sell me? That way i could just take it to an exhaust shop and get them to install it for me.

Seems $100 bux for a basic chrome tip was a little steep, but i could be wrong.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help a brother out :)

So you reckon you'll never ever buy an aftermarket exhaust? A$90 is very steep. That's almost 1/6th the cost of a GReddy.

I have got one but do not want to get rid of it.

I am sure the tip has holes in that bolt on to brackets welded onto the pipe. So it is not an easy fit.

Much easier and cheaper to go to an exhaust shop and just buy and tack weld an after market one on.
