Thanks Rahul but that is what I was talking about,I cannot see that page when logged in. All I see is-
The topic or post you requested does not exist.
That happens on all pages related to the club and elections etc
I was wondering if there was a page I couldnt find that was open to all which is why I posted earlier.
I think it is pretty piss poor that all the non premium members cannot even view the pages and discussions related to the restructuring and elections to keep abreast of what is happening.
I was going to say Fair enough you cannot vote unless you are a premium member but really all members with over a certain number of posts or who had been members for a certain time period should have been able to vote too.
Perhaps the premium members could have had their vote count as 2 votes to the non premium 1 vote.
Too late now.
Thanks anyway, I guess I will wait to see if they open the page to everyone when the elections are over.

Thanks Rahul, I thought I stuffed something up. Hope the bronchitis clears up quickly, the last thing you want is to be sick for exams! I'm going to speak to a panel beater sometime in the near future who has pretty good contacts in the auto industry so I will see if he knows anywhere to get the springs installed for the same or cheaper, if not then I'll wait for you and finish off the aesthetics in the mean time.

I'm sure everyone is a fan of a certain sports team. Like I support Collingwood. But I don't pay any membership fees. I don't own their shares, neither do I have any financial input into the club. I even get their guernseys for free from betting firms. I wonder if Eddie McGuire will let me have a say in removing Travis Cloke as a player. I also support Ajax Amsterdam, Manchester United, The Boston Red Sox but I've never been a paid up member. I fly SIA everywhere I go out of Australia. I have a Gold Kris Flyer Membership but I walk up to their PPS lounge which you can join by paying a premium, I can't get in without paying they won't let me in: It's not that you're not a valued customer, it's you don't pay enough... .
I also don't own shares in Apple Computers but I want a say in how they're run. They should put down their prices. Can I attend the next shareholder meeting because I've owned 18 Apple products in my lifetime. I contribute to their user forums, Can I be given a vote since I'm a valued member of their community? Steve Jobs calls me that at each of his addresses: "To the Apple Community at large, Users..." (see he acknowledged me), so I must be valued!
I don't pay any money but I want a say in things and no one can say a NON-premium member is NOT a valued member either, everyone is valued here but we have to draw the line somewhere. Membership must have some kind of privilege. Same with the CCJ decal. Else why pay if you can get all privileges for free?
I've already changed the structure of Group Buys to everyone since it's the number of people on board that gets that price down. No logic to charge non-premiums a levy. The old comm may not have agreed to that.
I hope you see where I'm going with this.
It's easy to sit on the sidelines and say stuff but it isn't really like that in the real world... .
I'm glad to see though you were keen to vote. We have > 150 premium members and I don't think more than 40 of them voted... . So we have a flaw in the system which this next comm might sort out for the 2012 elections. Either way we can't win. We have Apathy on one side and ..... on the other.
* ..... = fill in whatever you may feel... .

Guys ( & Irving),
Just a few more comments expressing my POV.
I realize membership has certain privileges/advantages and for what they currently are that is all fine, sticker, discount on sponsor services etc.
According to what Irving said there are approx 150 (156 in fact) premium members and only barely 40 of them voted.
I just saw on the homepage it says-- "We have 1,679 Members" on the Club CJ site.
According to the member list that is correct.
So, only 9% of people who registered on this site since it was established are Premium members and only approx 25% of those bothered to vote.
My initial earlier comments were primarily concerned with why I couldn't even view any of the discussion threads or election threads to see what is being said, who is running for election or what is going on whether I could vote or not.
I am one of the 90% of registered members of the site who have been excluded from even the basic courtesy of being informed as to what is going on since the decision to reorganize the club and elect new "club officials" etc was announced.
Being unable to see any of these threads since they were started hardly makes me feel like an equally valued member of Club CJ.
It appears the 40 odd members who bothered to vote will decide everything for the other 1640 odd members nationwide.
Sorry I don't consider that very fair or democratic.
In view of the numbers of at least registered members , whether they are active or not compared to premium members I think my earlier comments are certainly valid in that all members who had a certain post count ( therefore demonstrating a certain level of activity) and/ or length of membership should have been able to have a vote and premium members maybe have a weighted vote, eg 2 to 1 as a " privilege" of membership.
Maybe my comments can at least be considered by the newly current "elected club officials" before the next vote is due in 2012 to determine who can vote next time and how the general membership will be kept informed.
Cheers all, Matt

I don't think its possible to make threads visible but locked to some, and unlocked to others.
They're either hidden from certain members, or locked (and can only be posted in by admins and maybe mods, I can't remember).
But yeah, it should've been visible to all. But I'm not sure anyone knew/knows how to do it or if it is even possible.
Plus Mattigins is rarely here and is the only one that knows how to do a lot of things
Theres no reason there couldn't have been a public thread telling people whats going on though... But nobody asked for one...
Then again, everything I just said could be wrong.
