If he wants to put a turbo on his car then let him. Not everyone wants an RA or an Evo. A turbo FWD Lancer would have one thing over both RA and Evo, weight advantage. At the end of the day the RA is a few hundred kg more than a normal Lancer. Dont overlook a light car with a turbo just because its not AWD.
If turbo is done sensibly on a FWD car it can turn out good.

True, would certainly be faster on a rolling start, not off the line though. Depends how many kw's you are pumping at the wheels.

Kudos to you brendon. Also depends on how long your going to be keeping the car for...I plan to keep my car for a while...once i get off my P's ill most likely turn my car into a turbo project car...While at the same trying to get my hands on either a RA or evo. Probley saying thats stupid might as well just sell yours and get one with a turbo but my car means too much to me just to sell it off, its my first car...its love ♥

arnt the turbo mazdas FWD?
IF YOUR NOT LIVING ON THE EDGE YOUR TAKING UP TOO MUCH ROOM
I have also thought about this, I think it really has possibilities!
As for torque steer take a look at all the turbo mazda's, the XR5, the new RS500 just to name a few. As long as you drive it as you would one of these turbo FWD cars I cant see a problem, I.E no pushing the throttle mid corner ect ect
