i too have toyed with the idea of doing this however,
I am leaning more towards making a air dam behind the grill and to have it sit under the snorkel to channel the air through the grill and upwards.
I may have to move the horn to the other side of the car to be able to make the biggest air dam possible.

Did you notice any power gains from doing it.

I have been shyed away from doing this due to water invasion when driving in heavy rain.

I have an K&N apollo air filter. Not sure if I want to drill holes in the housing.
Might look at a water catch in the botom of my snorkel that I am making.

Hey Luke, sorry I didn't mean in the actual filter surround , I meant the own plastic housing that the filter sits in, then get some thing like panty hose material and fit it between the snorkel and housing, that will hopefully make the water droplets run down the bottom of the housing and out the holes

The stock housing already does have a hole underneath.

For every "Drive Safely" sign, shouldn't there be a "Resume Normal Driving" sign?
