Blakey, if any of the wires to the siren get cut, the siren goes off. there is NO way of bypassing it.. thats what makes it insurance approved siren

AJjnr86, the alarm upgrade im looking at for the club, you can attach a window windup module... lock car - windows go up

upgrade alarm $255, down to $149 group buy.

AJ, for your animal deterant i will include a spray bottle of cold water, you will then need to provide someone to patrol your car and spray water at the offending feline

Nope DIY fitting isn't counted for insurance purposes. From my experience (even with $10k of mods/accessories added to my car) the price I have been quoted for my upcomming insurance renewal doesn't change even if you have an alarm on it. So if you are capable of DIYing it then just do that and just don't tell insurance to list in the policy...

No.

If an alarm/immobilisor is installed by someone not qualified (in the eyes of ins co) then any claims will not be covered, they also have the right to pull your policy completely - one of their loopholes so they dont have to pay out people.

also, if you dont claim something thats in your car, stereo, mags, alarms etc... they can pull your policy citing - Failure to notify of change to policy...

thats how RACQ got out of paying for my 1999 Laser that was written off... i finished the stereo 2 weeks before my accident and hadnt got around to telling them about it....

MAKE SURE U TELL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY EVERYTHING - Even traffic offenses...

Vice grips used to be used to undo lock wheel nuts, had it done to me and was told by tow truck driver thats one of many methods they use,you need glass breakage and or interior motion sensor if you dont they can break window climb in and not open the doors which wont set of alarm.
