I have a 2009 VR hatch and there are two strips of rubber which the tinter felted.

No scratches and now I don't have any more glue marks after winding up and down the windows enough.

Our outlander on the other hand needed the rubber strips to be completely felted and the lower strip removed. The upper strip was also cut back as now on one back window I can slide a card through :(

Is this problem with the rubber seals still evident on the latest 2010 build Lancers?

As far as I know, it is still a problem with most, if not all of the mitsubishis. My tinter reported that even the BMWs have this problem (use of hard rubber) but not many beemers have their windows tinted as they come factory tinted (though doesn't look dark).

Got my 08 ES done at tint-a-car with their midnight express tint. They actually put felt bits on all four door window seals themselves.
Must say that i'm quite happy the finished job, looks much more sporty :D

35% is the darkest you can go legally, what about the back windows with privacy glass?

I am planning to tint my car and the tinter gave me an option for clear layer or I think 40% tint for the privacy glass. Will tinting the privacy glass that is already dark with something like 40% be illegal?

No need to tint our cars at all, as they have UV protective glass.

Only need to tint the front to match the rear for looks.

Heard it over the radio this morning that here in VIC, there will be a blitz by the cops this weekend on Tinted windows. Road blocks will be set up state wide to check on people's tints.

So those in VIC just beware... .

Ive heard good reviews from this company yet i didn't choose them to do my car as i found a cheaper place

cheaper place? an earlier post suggested a quote of $70 for the front windows from ground zero.
where did you get yours done and how much if you dont mind me asking

p.s ive noticed not much people include pricing on their goods and where to get supplies for their mods? is that because they dont want others to copy?

Michael I got that info from one of SA members who works for Mitsubishi head office.

I too got suckered in by my tinter and got all the windows tinted.
