Get some second hand vents and cut out the centre then put the mesh in. As for the design of the vents the front ones are designed to suck out hot air if you notice with the FQ400 the front lip is larger then stock evos which keeps the front vents sucking the hot air out.

From memory the vents stick up and it looks kinda weird/tacky... I have the CF hoodscoop and just DIY spraypaint the factory vents myself.

That being said, I wouldn't mind this set: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MITSUBISHI-EVO-X ... 3cac17edd6

Looks pretty good from what I can tell but not sure how it would look once fitted. It does have mesh though.

Looks good from that angle but I think because it sticks out, it looks like you have three non flush parts on the bonnet from other angles and it looks a bit odd. At least you can do it with mesh and so forth. I would consider this if I didn't already have my CF hoodscoop.

If you're looking for nice CF vents, ARC, Varis Sport & Sigma Speedshop have some good stuff :D

Only trick is, they aren't cheap since they are Japanese (IE - The real stuff ;) )... Otherwise Rexpeed have a good quality product at very good prices.
