just my opion, but if you want a phone as a "phone" why get something fancy??

But i dont know what the Optus service is like in Sydney, im sure its great but in the country (where a mobile phone is a NEED if you break down) the service is CRAP, where as Telstra i almost have singnal everywhere.

I have a Blackberry Bald 9000.

Great for business, as I can send and receive emails while out of the office.

Work supplies it for me and pay the bill which is great. I am on the maximum Optus plan. Unlimited phone calls. I dont use my home phone for ringing out any more.

Bad thing is it is with Optus and I drop out very quickly once I am in the hills.

Ben, I use mine for more than a phone. When out of the house I'm on it checking and replying to emails, browsing clubCJ and even checking the weather or transferring money over the net. It's my computer away frim home without me dragging a laptop and 3G card. Of course the odd text and phone calls too.

I live on it haha

Yes, once again I posted this off it :P

HTC Desire here as well :D

Apparently the screen does not get scratches either. I've tried using a key to see if I could put scratch marks on it when I got it in the Telstra Store and I could not do it.

Currently Telstra has the best deals for non I-Phone plans. If you go an i-phone then all providers are very equal but if you want something like the HTC the Telstra is the only way to go as Optus or Vodaphone wont put a smart phone on an iphone plan for the free data downloads

The iPhone 4 has a great screen, the integrated aerial is nice, but that's all it's got going for it IMO.

Oh yay we can now make video calls!! But only in wifi and only to other iPhone4s...

WTF is the point then..

I love how Apple is saying "humans have been dreaming about video calling for years, and now we're bringing video calling to reality" when my last 5 phones have had it. Back in 2004 I got my first with video calling, it was fun for the first few times then it became too much effort lol

Apple are great marketers but some of their products still lack in a lot of ways.

Android Market is really good!

And there are apps that you won't find on Apple's App Store like SNES emulators etc
