Its a lot easier to put a full-sized spare in a sportback if that matters to you (as the floor goes up and down). Can't think of anything else, its pretty complete.

Wish I had the 2.4 though.
Sure CVT is what you want?
Even just from a price perspective I'm always going to be a manual driver from now on.

I managed to haggle my 2009 VR Sportback (manual, white) to $22,500 DA in sept 2009.

Personally I think what abled me to get it at that price was the fact that they were bringing in the MY10s that month itself and the actual car had its compliance sometime in June 09. This meant the car itself had been sitting in the yard for a while and noone bought it (Moorooka, Motorama Mitsu). I basically just sat there and told them my budget and was prepared to walk out if I wasn't given the price I wanted.

They played nice, they played aggressive but I didn't budge. I had been chased out from 3-4 dealerships before that dealership though. They were also having this silly weekend sale as well... so I suppose they really wanted to move old stock.

Bottom line is that if you get a model which has been on the floor for a while or at the very least is in stock on the floor, you should be able to get a better price. I was flexible with both colour and shape so that's one of reasons I suppose.

However, that said and done, the Activ seems to be popular so getting a good discount may not be as easy... but good luck!

Thans Dire, will note that down mate
& yes a CVT is a must as this car is for my sister as a bday pressie from our folks.

By the info so far, seems that a CVT Sportback VR is indeed possible for $26K DA? :)

When I was shopping around $23.5-24k for a manual VR was easily done.

I suppose $26k will be an easy ask.

I would personally aim for $24k if possible, but I would accept $25k at the very most.

Wait my 24.5 might've been including all the protection stuff. And included the metallic paint.

Yeah you can get it for 26k easy hopefully.
Tell them you want it for 24 or something though :P

Price is looking good, thanks for disclosing your pricing info. :)

I won't let go the budget upfront :P
Will negotiate starting at 23.5 & see what they say, & ask for extras?

A few Q's:

Does the MY10 VR have:

Bluetooth
Privacy Glass
Leather Steering Wheel

as per the new Activ model?

If you want it all you need to stretch to a VR-X :P
Or do after-market stuff... Theres plenty of bluetooth solutions around, but it'd be better integrated obviously.

Just cos you can afford a VR doesn't mean you have to get one remember :P
