The guy with the rx7 doesn't have a license at the moment but he has a CAMS (racing) license

And the M3 pulled out :(

But one of Rahuls friends is keen so when I update the list I'll swap it over :)

Has the server gone dodgy or just me. I put a message up last night and it was having none of it. Just didn't want to submit, anywho, I went past the place last night while picking my parents up from international airport so, now i know where it is. I'm booked in and ready to go.... When i get a helmet that is (selling things I don't need atm to raise helmet funds)

Edit: I saw a nice late 90's Gen 7 RX-7 twin turbo toady, they look and go pretty sweet

If it's legal on the road it should be legal to track as well. All they want is a current road drivers license.

Yeah an international license should be fine, but I will confirm it with them also :)

Unfortunately due to insurance restrictions there cannot be any passengers in the vehicles other than our staff members.

You must have a current drivers license to partake in any of our courses.

I'll find out if you can use an international license also.

Whats the deal with insurance BTW - do you need a track day insurance policy or does the regular cover sort you given where its held?

I am still trying to A) get my car back and B) get the day off!
I have a 3 year old son who KNOWS i should drive faster! So why do i get fined?!?

I'm not too sure on that one acctually.

They say you MUST have a valid license for "insurance reasons" but as far as I'm aware most tracks arent covered by insurance (as it's considered racing) but as this is done by RAC and i guess would be considered "Driver education" it might be different..

I'll send off an email and find out tomorrow at work.

I looked into this, but it was all bad news :( As far as i could figure out, there is no such thing as track day insurance here in Aus. I read somewhere that Shannons offered $20k max coverage (not much good for most people!) but that they might not still do it.

Your normal car insurance will be good for nothing the second you drive onto the track, which is why i will only do these "one car on the track at a time" days. No way i'm risking the RA to other drivers! lol.

I'd be happy if Graham finds out i'm wrong though, as it could be classed as driver training if we're lucky!
