Some people take quite a bit of pride in their work/hobbies, I think it's more so a matter of it being polite and asking that person for permission before doing so.
Respect goes a long way.

You might want to check out http://www.copyright.org.au
Specifically this page.
And also this
Like CatP said, just because you have that there doesn't make it legally binding in anyway and is still an infringement of the copyright act and the photographers moral rights.

I hope you asked the copyright owner of each of the photos for their permission to use/edit them, it's illegal to do otherwise.
I agree with CatP on both points.
I wouldn't post pictures here if I had to sacrifice my ownership of the pictures.

OK i understand were everyone is coming from.
but people on this Forum are encouraged to post photos of there rides and various other things,
all the photos that i have depicted in the entry screen are of members cars.
The Photos are from Various members including myself,
i am sure that all these members would approve of what i have done with there photos,
& i totally understand the need for permissions.
Next time i will ask members who would like there photos to appear.
instead of surprising them or rewarding them.
We are constantly evolving and updating our website to better enhance our Members experiences.
If Changes are made to the Site that you are not happy about,
you can always voice your opinions here on ClubCJ, and you will be heard...
Administration & the Moderator Team will take on and try to resolve all Website Queries.
If you would like your photo to feature in our main entry screen,
please respond to this thread.

How about you worry about your own stuff and everyone else can do whatever they like. Oh, and keep your smartarse comments to yourself.
I only speak the truth, if its on the net there is 90% chance of it being taken if someone likes it. Unless there saying its there own then "I" dont see a problem with it.

Love Ozie's last line there haha
Its sweet as Oz, I saw it when I logged in today and its AWESOME.
Btw - any ClubCJ-related photos I post up (i.e. car, engine, mods etc) , feel free to use em mate, Im not usin em for anything!
As for the people whinging on about the copyright act - lets make a list of whose cars are involved...
Aaron, Dave, Andrew, Adrian, Phoenix, B3Hav3 (or whatever), and a white sportsback which I THINK belongs to Bandit? Adrian has already given his permission, Aaron made the damn thing, Phoenix wouldnt hesitate, I'd be confident in saying Dave/Andrew wouldnt hesitate to see skunk-v-anti-skunk up there, and that just leaves Bandit and Behave, whom I dont know well enough to comment on. Are we really going to allow our community-based club to be ripped apart by a bit of legislation? seriously, whos getting hurt. We havent published any of your photos, Cat, and if you wish for us not to, then by all means, just say. Ozie won't use you're photos. Daveee...what do you have to gain by commenting? I'm confused - you're a tram driver not a photographer.
Also, Pierre is well within his rights to say what he wants, and if you want to call him a smartarse, then just for a second look at what he is saying. The internet is hardly a secure environment, and if you post pics up, you run a risk. Simple. He's simply pointing out that fact - hell, I had a female friend a couple of years back who had a couple of revealing photos (which I don't have Pierre...), and emailed them to her then-boyfriend. Her boyfriends CPU had some kind of worm on it, and the pictures found their way onto the internet, and eventually got emailed BACK to her by one of her friends from the USA. Nothings safe, and the only safe way to operate involves not posting them in the first place.
Also - a simple way to stop it is something called, I believe, a watermark?
Sin cera Josh.
