Something interesting i read on 9GL

http://9glancers.com/index.php/topic,8974.0.html

HERE IS A BIT OF INFORMATION FOR ANYONE THINKING OF GETTING OEM MITSUBISHI MUD FLAPS FOR THE FRONT OF THE CAR:

They currently have OEM mud flaps available for the front of 2008 & 2009 & even some 2010 GTS Lancers that were made UP TO SEPT. 2009. If your car was made from OCT. 2009 to the present date.....the mud flaps WILL NOT FIT! Seems that Mitsu has redesigned the lower ground effects right at the base of the wheel well opening. It might be a little wider to some how "fix" the rocks being flicked up onto the paint. There is still a little bit of the tire sticking out, but not as much as my 08 did. So I am guessing that it will help. The rear OEM mud flaps will fit & they are being installed on my car as well.
I don't think that there is any change to the rears....so you should be fine.

2010 that was made before Sept/09

2010 Made in Oct/09 and after.

I can see that the newer lancer has slightly wider skirts...

Goran I think they are the same but my pictures are taken lower to the ground.

I am very happy with they look. It will be interesting if they scape on speed humps?

I took a heap of pictures for you today. It is really hard to get a good one as the mudflaps are hard to see against shadows and black back rounds like tyres and plastic trims.

All I can say is they look good. IMO

Got mine today.

Troy, I agree with Goran that yours look different. They don,t seem to form around the side skirt, they just go straight up. I am thinking they gave you the ones for no side skirts.

Here are mine.

No Robert mine are the same as your. They form perfectly around the skirt. If you look closely you can see.

Against the darker colour your picture is clearer. On mine it looks like a shadow in the picture.

G'day Ofey,

I was wondering if you could give me a hand regarding installation for several of the products you listed that I am considering purchasing. Sorry to sound a bit 'noobish' in this, but you gotta start somewhere right? lol

1. Scuff Plates - Carbon Fibre Look: are they just stuck on, using adhesive at the back?

2. Insert Trim - Carbon Fibre Look: again, is it adhesive?

3. Metallic Pedals and Footrest (M/T): how are these installed (I once bought a custom brand and they were an absolute b**** to install, so much that I gave up)

4. Windscreen Decal: I'm assuming this is pretty straightforward, just sticking it on, right?

5. MZ314062 KNOB-G/SHIFT-5M/T-ALUMINIUM: Also seems fairly simple, just unscrew the current and screw in this one, I assume...

6. Seat Covers: Do they allow for models with seat airbags?

7. Mirror Covers - Carbon Fibre Look: I assume they stick on to the current mirrors right?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance :D

In reply to E-dawg:

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. The pedals are rubber and can strap over the actual pedal. You might need to grind down the accelerator pedal to fit as in my case. The footrest is part adhesive and 4 miniature screws.
4. Yes. Stick on.
5. Yes. Unscrew current, screw on new one.
6. Yes. There's actually a long discussion about it.
7. Yes. Once again stick on.

The Alloy Fuel Door is cheaper off eBay. I think it's A$195 through us. On eBay you should be able to pull off at least A$30 less.

That Tweeter set is disgustingly expensive as well. I've helped 2 members install as good a set by simply going to the Wreckers and getting sets out of wrecked Outlanders.

The RA badge is A$23.
