What are your pet hates when it comes to other drivers?

Postby PlatinumSarah » Sat Apr 10, 2010 8:25 pm

1) FOG LIGHTS - nangers think they are 'driving lights' and make their holden look hot so they keep em on rain or shine. I work with one btw, who thinks it looks all that. Enjoyed it a bit too much telling her she is breaking the law. She drapes herself in a Holden flag whenever they are racing, need I say more?

2) HAT DRIVERS/SUNDAY DRIVERS - Do they just not know how to control a car above 15km/h or if it's not M-F peak hour bumper to bumper traffic? And is the hat on the parcel shelf in the back window an accepted symbol of the challenged driver? Did I miss that in the Learners Manual?

3) FAIL TO GIVE WAY - If it is bumper to bumper what difference does it make if they are a car length ahead? Let a sister in. Oh and how hard is it for them to leave a space for you to turn in from a side street?

4) MERGING -If everyone let a car in while still moving, and said car accepted a spot next to them instead of driving as far as they can to get a few spaces ahead, then NONE of us would have to stop, traffic would flow.

5) FAIL TO KEEP LEFT - hmmm where do I start?

Following someone that has left their indicator on

2 lanes of traffic, driving in the left lane doing 100km/h on cruise control and the car in front is doing 98km/h and just as you are about to overtake, a car in the right lane is doing 102km/h and boxes you in making you reset the cruise control, slow down, let the guy past then overtake.

Merging into a FWY/HWY travelling on the on ramp stuck behind some moron doing 80km/h while the traffic is doing 110km/h

I hate people that drive to the side of speed humps! Does it make any difference? half the car still has to go over it.

lowered cars usually go sideways so it has a less chance of scraping

me too Shane, people always say "but your car isnt lowered itll never scrape" and that usually jynxes it for the next driveway or bump....

Have you tried it.
Next time you come up to a speed hump that you drive to the side of it try it with a bit of pace.
Then turn around and go straight over it at the same speed.
You will appreciate the difference!!

Mostly concerned about dangerous divers, like idiots tailgating at high speeds & blatantly running red lights - yeah I see this nearly everyday. :x

More annoying ones is sitting at red traffic lights & idiot in front still rooting round with their ipods or their crappacino after lights turn green. Especially hate it when it happens at a quick changing set of lights.
