Tadz, I picked up Goran's UHF's last night, their got fresh batteries and are ready to go.

@ Matt: I mean, the new UHF Radios from dick smith lol. I picked some up today just in case you didnt get them. 2 week money back anyway :lol:

Anyone who has UHF Radios and is willing to bring them, we are going to be operating on Channel 25.

Mostly cloudy. Isolated showers possible during the morning and evening. Winds south to southwesterly averaging up to 40 km/h.

fingers crossed. we had some pretty heavy rains near my area i hope the weather at least stay the way it is now.

Matt / Michael I have set the radios to operate at 2.0W(HI) and on channel 25.
All you need to do is turn them on. Make sure you don't accidentally enable CTCSS
or you won't be able to hear the other guys.

Just to be on the safe side, have a look at the operating Guide

hey guys, just to add that i wont be racing afterall, however will be part of the spectating crowd-and of course take a couple of pics.

edit: i'll be able to make it to meet up with you guys at Epping at 8:30am!!! sweet.

on a side note, i noticed last week at costco had some walkie talkies, they came in a four-pack made by Uniden, for only $79.95. range is 3km.

They must be the same as this UH037SX-4 pack
The older pack was the UH036SX-4
