iphone or something else

Postby denchy » Wed Feb 18, 2009 8:43 am

Hi All.... I am looking at replacing my Nokia 6110 Navigator and I thought I would look at the iphone...

I dont care too much about the email as I have my work blackberry for that but can anyone give me an honest owners opinion of the phone?

I really want to know if the calendar function will sync with my home email via USB or Blue tooth using outlook 2007

Any feed back would be appreciated

Cheers

Scotty

I've always felt that anyone who doesn't use a Mac has NO reason to buy an iPhone as alot of the convenience the iPhone provides via sync-ing cannot be used to the best of its ability.

I'm sure someone has figured out a way to sync with outlook but that would probably involve a 3rd party s/w.

Look around for another phone. Perhaps look at the new Sony Ericssons. They seem terrific.

 I was going to recommend the Omnia.

My phone comes off contract in May and I am yet to decide what I will do. The Google Android phones are just on the horizon so i might go back to prepaid until then...

Android looks like its going to be a top mobile OS, just have to wait and see how many people develop apps for it....

IO would get an iPhone and jailbreak it, there very good phones once that's done.

They play games well, good stable OS and looks awesome...

Was thinking of selling my N95 and getting 1.

Personally - I'll recommend the Porsche Design P'9521 (Google it, you'll see why).

I found the iPhone breaks very easily - from scratching of the screen due to miniscule dirt on ur fingers to actually breaking the screen...i mean its a huge screen, drop it once and its fucked.
