I've done a few thing with Carbon Fiber vinyl wrap and still learning and while they look okay on issue I've had is edges becoming unstuck, especially on fiddly stuff where you go around bends.
They usually come unstuck after the car is left parked in the hot sun.
Is there a trick to get these parts to stick and stay on?
Also I've heard of a process call 'hydro painting', is this a viable option on some removable trim parts?

You can hydro dip any part, Mags, interior, exterior, engine bay parts. After its dipped and cleaned it gets clear coated.

There's a couple of places around Brisbane / GC, but it's fiercely expensive...

A square meter is a lot, so $20 for a mirror cover looks expensive.
I might find out more later this week but I really need to put my efforts into getting the old coupe fixed and running. Then I need to decide if it's worth selling to fund more changes to the CJ or keeping as a weekend drive/track day car.

Craig...there is no other way of putting this but you get what you pay for...Most of the wrap on ebay isnt actually wrap...its just a carbon vinyl...there is a lot of difference and is why its lifting...also the most important part is surface prep...Use prepsol or similar...you have to get every ounce of wax etc off the part. The minimum type wrap you should be using is 3M/Avery but there is a lot better stuff than that as well like respec etc. (Ive tested them all) Be aware that there are rip offs (Fake) 3M product on ebay as well.

I know quality can vary but the bit I used was from a local I know, he works on cars for a living so it was good stuff, that said I did it in a rush, just trying something so the prep could have been better.
No loss I can get them off and give it another go, which is a good thing about the vinyl wrap.
Now I asked before are there guide on how to remove bits of trim, where to find the screens and lugs and which way to pull and more important what stuff will come off easiest and might be able to be done with the aqua dip instead of wrap?
