VRX Front Inspiration Needed
So until a few weeks ago this was my the look of the front end of my VRX, but some black 3D carbon fiber wrap under the number plate.
Looked good but it's after a changed after I got the bar resprayed while the car was in having the back end repaired.
This is the current stock look.
I'm considering a wrap again but not sure of the color or to go with a color and not carbon fiber look.
Asking for inspiration, considering a grey or charcoal, maybe even matching the top grill surround trim.
Some photos of your front would be appreciated to see how they compare to what I have in my mind.

I really liked the carbon fibre wrap. Didn't look over the top while looking better than the standard.
I think a matt black like your grill surround would also look mean.

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed
Yeah I don't want to go over the top like yellow/gold wrap LOL
Was considering yellow plasti-dip the grill surround, door mirrors and some other bits to give the whole car a distinctive look.
I just wanted a little more definition so a dark grey or charcoal color.
My grill surround is a kind of greyish color already.
Right now I just want to do something on a tight budget over the coming holidays.

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed
after seeing the before i'm half tempted to wrap that edge and the number plate part of middle area with the CF look. was never keen on the plastic surrounds above/below the number plate.
although i was keen on a matte finish then getting the red badge, decided to go blue on everything else though, would not look the part

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed
I think the yellow on the front would be too much. I don't really like the thought of the yellow mirrors either unless maybe you did the "arm" of the mirror and not the backing plate itself? Sorry it's hard to word.
I really think your car looks mint as is, sometimes less is more and in the yellow/black case I think less if deffo the option. It looks mad as is. Just my opinion though.

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed
This is really why I wanted a white (or silver) CJ, so I could do the number plate area black like so many others but that didn't work out and until I can afford a proper paint job to do the whole cars yellow (no many of CJs like that) minor changes will have to do.
Apart from color there is also the choice of what type of wrap, 3D, 4D, 5D and now even 6D what every the hell that is. Not sure if the gloss 5D would blend too much into the black paint work and be lost making it pointless?
Really need to order the wrap this week so it gets here in time, even from local AU suppliers. Most over seas ones now stretch into the new year for delivery times.

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed
Looking at the two pictures, I'd go for a matte-black wrap / paint just to contrast with the gloss black of the car.
Nothing wrong with the CF pattern, just think black would look better.

I like the texture of the CF I had on the car but it was a paint to clean, this is why I'm looking at the 5D gloss CF wrap, we're talking maybe $15 for a bit big enough and if that goes well maybe some on the mirrors?

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed
if you do end up ordering and doing the wrap chuck us a thread on how it went, always been curious on how it turns out.
my paint jobs a bit "how you going" so i was thinking of a wrap rather than respray.

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed
As bizarre as it may be, why dont you do the number plate area and the grills white with plastidip? Contrast it! Everyone has done the white to black and blue to black etc so why not do the opposite? Could go alright?!

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed
about that, what do you guys reckon about a white wrap with leaving the roof area black?

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed
Looks great as it now is. So why change to what might suit you more or less, also budget will be best if its left as is.

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed
I just want something more than the gloss.
If I was to paint it any color, why not yellow plasti-dip, I have some left

Re: VRX Front Inspiration Needed
