I have a 2008 Lancer and it has rear drum brakes. Is it possible to change it with a disc brakes from a 2008 Lancer GTS?

So long as your wheels and callipers allow it

It's not a question of possibility, it's all about fitment, we need to know what wheels you have and also callipers.

For wheels there are all kinds of things that affect it.

I only realised today at the Mitsu dealer that the rears were drum (on the little chart they have on the table at the service area). Interesting.

Stupid question, but is it just a straight forward swap/bolt on to the vrx/gts rear calipers?

All CJ Lancers delivered in Australia have rear disc brakes.

I believe they do have a drum arrangement for the handbrake.

I suspect in the Philippines they have different models with different features.

The ES / RX / SX / VR do have smaller setup than the VRX.

TBH I looked at upgrading them, and in the 150,000 kms my car did I reckon I could have got away with 1 set of pads.

I put my EBC greenstuffs in at 100,000kms and the Original pads had about 50% tread still.

I figured that they do so little work, that swapping them out was not worth it. Especially how hard it is to find upgrades for the rear. Most only upgrade the front.
