Knocking Sound

Postby mel » Mon Dec 12, 2011 10:01 pm

Hi Guys

I am having this peculiar problem with my front brakes for 2 years.

When i first start the car for the day and when i brake, there is always this knocking sound.

When i move further along the sound disappears.

I have checked the web and most likely something is loose down there.

But i went to 2 different workshops and both cannot tell me what is the reason.

Anyone has experience this before?

The ABS etc does checks when first taking off, it could well be this.

Squeaking and squealing will happen when brakes are cold. Once there is a little heat in them, it will often go away :)
