Celica ZR Or ES/RX (Help Needed)

Allright guys I'd REALLY appreciate your help here, and I know this is obviously a lancer based website, but I just want to know what you reckon. These are the links for both cars, Im probably going to see the RX in the next couple of days (although i don't know why its posted in the ES section of carsales), comparing them, it seems obvious that the Celica ofcourse is more of a performance vehicle, and thats what keeps pulling me towards it. If you guys can guide me through this whole process itd be a lot easier

i think hands done the lancer it got alot more going for in in the way of less kms newer car that still has warranty looks better and you can do so much with the lancer just look on here haha

Haha have u considered Honda Integra Dc5? that'd be more along the lines of the Celica. Could go for the base or type S/type R
However between the two choices you've given, it depends on what you want. The Celica would be quicker and looks great from the front as well!
However the Lancer you would still have warranty as its newer car so maintenance should be easier and I'm pretty sure it would have the 5 year cap price servicing. ALso lotta modding potential interior/exterior wise.
Also do you anticipate only have 1/2 people in your car most of the time?

These cars are totally different!
The Lancer is newer and more practical because it has more doors and a big boot. If you get that particular Lancer you linked it should have 1 more year of warranty left.

To be honest, I would rather want to be covered with warranty and all and a newer car (for a much better price) is a lot better off to take than buying a car that you'd basically be on your own with in the case something happens.
Practicality is also a pretty major factor. A practical car will basically allow you to get around certain situations that would be solved by having that practicality right at your keys.
That's just my opinion. Celicas are really nice cars and I've been in one but I still don't think I'd buy one in the end. As Yujin said, you can go for other ones too like the DC5 Integra Type R or Type S. You can expand your options if you'd like, but in the end I reckon you'd be better off with the Lancer since you'd still be warranty covered and parts are more readily available if required.

Thanks for the comments guys, the practicality and age of the car is probably a major pro, but correct me if I'm wrong, I've heard that most Integras have been thrashed. Come to think of it, in the long run the Lancer would most likely last

That's quite true, but there are quite a lot still that you can buy and have been looked after properly.
Yeah it'd last longer in the long run that's for sure.

Yeahhh most of the R's have been thrashed at some point. but Type S/ Base/Luxury maybe not so much. Good luck!

Well the only mods I might put are exterior but then again I don't want it looking like an Evo wannabe, it is my first car and I'm on my Red P's so performance mods would be very limited. After seeing all the opinions i think I'm going to stay with the lancer, just an enquiry, how much would the clutch kits be for a lancer in case it screws up?
P.s Thanks for the comments guys it's really helped!! That's a neat celica, haha ever since I was young I've had a soft spot for those and lancers

unless you want the celica for some sort of personal reason (toyota fanboy?) then i think the lancer would out do it in every way. So much more practical and much more to work with.
