Nice, I looked at Renault originally but then went back to Mitsu.

They did say White was in shortage around the state at the moment. Not sure if that's why it's coming from there. Doesn't seem economical otherwise given you can literally walk from the dealer to PK in less than a day.

Im not sure that it was ever a widespread practice, but its possible (and recommended as part of the pre-delivery inspection and handover process).

I guess at least if they do that, it'll reduce the KMs for when you trade-in / sell. Had no idea you could do that any more though, given people can misuse it in so many ways.

My lancer had 17kms on it when I signed the papers and was at 27kms on pick up. Had to go get tinted, paint protection and scotch guarding.

I'm always very wary about new cars that have crazy low kms on at pick up. I worked at Holdens Elizabeth (grounds keeper) and they were always moving their cars from one paddock to another to another, plus all the test driving( note: they have a really cool test track and will do a couple rounds, and if it doesn't pass it goes back through the sheds to get fixed and then back to the track). There's no way I'd trust a new car odo with a couple kns on it. But that's Holdens, so other companies may be different.

If I'm not mistaken, it's 24 km. I insisted on the full tank which the dealer was trying to get away with despite us shaking hands on it. So they brought it to the station and perhaps did some road test before handing it to me.

Anything over 30 km I consider a demo.

Haha serious? I am not sure if youre bluffing :) So seems like if the dealer gives me anything over 100kms there is certainly something wrong. Thanks all!

Hes an addict ..he bought the car when he won a big amount
and now hes going broke and maintaining the car is getting expensive in respect to the winnings at the STAR :p

Buying the car was a good investment for him :p
