Gutter rash repairers- any recommendations?

Anyone know a good gutter rash repairer in Sydney (preferably Hills District/Parramatta) and how much I should expect to pay?

Hopefully my carelessness at 4AM won't be too costly. Damn entrance to the Sydney domestic airport parking was closed so had to use alternate entrance to the left and after entering I had to turn right but I didn't see the cement island behind the boom gate kept continuing. Oh well.

there is a metal bond expoxie you can use to fill the bit taken out, but you will need to sand the rim down a little before hand fill it with the epoxie smooth sand then paint the same colour. you can get rid of it completly if you do that. but its a task and a half to do with the tire still on. but can be done in a day.

In terms of wheel shops, can they do something like that? I've heard mixed comments from various forums (through Google) and on my FB regarding places like JAX which can do stuff for between $50 and $100... but not sure if that'll fix it. What do you guys think?

id say it would be better to get it done at a wheel shop, id presume they would do it properly.

It may not be 100% mate but I am sure a wheel shop/panel beater should be able to take most of it out. Make sure if anyone does anything to the wheel be it yourself or a shop a rebalance should done as the mass distribution could change with the repair.

its already changed with the ammout of metal he has scraped off. lol

Ouch Jeff! Brings a tear to my eye just looking at that pic.... :(

I know of 2 places, there's a mag wheel repair shop on Romford Rd (Off Tattersall Rd), Blacktown and there's this guy I was recommended by a few people, Custom wheel repairs on 16 Ferry Rd, Lansvale (97887229/0413528370). Only prob is this guy said repairs can take anything up to 3 days to allow time for repairs, painting and drying.....

...and some other stuff which the fun police don't approve of... :)

After cleaning the car, the wheel doesn't look that bad and I'm even considering not doing anything about it just yet. One of the key reasons is if it's gonna take a few days to do, well, I don't find much time during the year where I get 3 days off work in a row!

The other option is the mobile alloy wheel repair guys who can do it in a couple of hours at your house- sounds good, but I am a bit sceptical about these.

I fitted rim skins when I first bought the RA they can also be used to cover an already damaged rim, only problem is I don`t think they will fit that type of rim, worth a check though, they are a great investment.

ouch that poor evo. Seriously tho airports have the worst car park/driveways. I know the one here in canberra is barely wide enough to fit a hatchback let alone our cars. Especialyl when you have to drive up/down levels.

Managed to scrape the one of the rear alloys today. It's only a relatively small mark but it's annoying.

Has anyone managed to get their stock alloys repaired, and if so how much? I'm assuming the VRX and SX wheels are made of the same material.
