Cruise Control not working when it's cold?

For the last week or so I've been driving to work and noticed cruise control doesn't work in the morning when it's cold.

I've tried
-Turning it off/on
-pressing the lower button to set it
-pressing the upper button to set it
-Turn car off/on

It works on the way home when it's warmer though.. It's never done it before after a year of owning the car so I'm not quite sure what the deal is.. Today I drove it to work and its a 30min drive, even after 30 minutes it didn't work.

I'm stumped

Anyone know what could be causing it?
I'll see how it goes over the coming week and I'll try it at night when it's cold and see what happens, if all else fails I'll probably have to take it into Mitsu to get it checked under warranty..

Out of curiosity, do you have my LED Tail lamps on your car?

Nope, just the standard red ones, the only difference is LED brake/reverse bulbs.

It seems weird that it works during the day though which is what gets me confused

Graham, if you have LED Brake light globes, that is the problem ;)

Either remove or fit a load resistor.

You should know that cruise control fails when the LED tail lamps' load resistor comes loose. Or if they aren't there at all. One guy had his resistor not very well inserted and intermittently, the cruise control couldn't engaged. He then repositioned them properly and all was well again. And this is the only fault signal (the CC failing). No check engine nor service light either.

Any other LEDs?

Parkers for LED's and interior bulbs replaced with LED's that's about it

Hmm it makes sense about brake lights, I did replace them when I had to take my bumper off last week :P

I might try replace them and see how it goes :)

Cheeeeeers
