Hey Guys,
Have to do an oil change soon, want to use Mobil 1 but the owner’s manual says to use 10W-30 and they don't seem to make this type.
Anyone have any ideas where I can get this? or is it safe to use 5W-30 in Sydney? (The owner’s manual says not to use this if temperature gets above 40c)
-David.

I used Nulon 10W30 semi synth on 7500 oil change.
But this time, actually today! going to put in Castrol 5w-30 fully synth & see how she runs.
Well on the bottle it mentions ok for turbo's, I know a few guys here put in 0W-40 & seem to run ok.

Mitsu dealer up here will only put Castrol 0w-40 in its performance cars. Temp and tropical climate is the main reason. Should be getting new oil in my car in the next few hours. (15k service today)

Last service at Ultra Tune put Valvoline 10W30 Semi Synth in my car. Seems good so far.

HKS specific oil. the oil is specially designed for the 4b11 but at $200 for an oil change its probably i bit on the expensive side lol

Not being a smart arse here, but how can it be specifically designed for the 4B11T? Doesn't the oil viscosity largely depend on which environment the vehicle is being operated in??

We use Castrol Edge 0w40 in both our road cars and our race cars. Seems to be sufficient not only to win back to back Bathurst 12hrs but also run down to the supermarket with.

Thanks for the info guys, but looks like my oil change is going to be postponed for a little while.
Had a little accident in the RA and she has to be fixed first.

Ahh no! What happened mate? I'd be crying if anything happened to my RA. *supportive pat on the back*

An old guy changed lanes into me and I just couldn't stop in time.
I think I might need that big brake kit now lol.

I am about to start running mobil 5w-40 Synthetic, I was going to run the castrol 5w-30 but I need the 40 as I do a fair bit of driving out west in temps over 40 degrees.
